Meet our Dentists

Our team of Dentists at Fraser Smith Lowe:

Dr Peter Smith B.D.S. (Otago), B. Sc. (Hons), F.I.C.D.

A "mainlander", Peter attended Christchurch Boys' High School before graduating with degrees at Canterbury and Otago Universities during the 1970's. After working at Auckland Hospital for a year, he joined Craig Fraser in what has become one of Auckland's most respected partnerships. Peter loves the endless challenges dentistry brings and values the loyalty and friendship developed with his many patients over the years.

Married with three sons keen on sports, it is hardly surprising that he has developed a specialised "hobby" interest in Sports Dentistry. He has been Team Dentist for the NZ Warriors since 1998 in addition to caring for many All Blacks & other leading N.Z. sportspeople. Other interests include golf, reading, fishing & relaxing at the beach.

Dr Richard Lowe B.D.S. (Otago)

Richard Lowe joined Fraser Smith Lowe in 1999 after having worked in his hometown of Wellington since graduating from Otago University in 1994. A strong believer in personalising dental care to suit the patient, Richard enjoys all forms of dentistry and always works with his patients to minimise the risk of dental problems in their mouths.  He particularly enjoys the challenge of rebuilding broken down mouths, implant and cosmetic dentistry.

Outside of dentistry Richard is happily married with 2 sons to keep him on his toes. A keen follower of most sports, he likes the odd game of tennis when he has a chance or just relaxing at the park with family and friends.

Dr Megan Henzell B.D.S. (Otago)

Originally from a small town in central England, Megan moved to Wellington with her family at the age of nine. After graduating from Otago University with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Distinction, she accepted a position as a dental house officer at Auckland District Healthboard. She thoroughly enjoyed working with the dental and maxillofacial surgery team treating medically compromised patients as well as maxillofacial and dental trauma patients. Megan enjoys all aspects of dentistry and endeavours to make the experience in the dental chair as comfortable as possible. She has a strong focus on ensuring her patients have an understanding of their oral health and treatment, and educates them on ways to prevent oral disease.

Outside of dentistry, Megan plays squash for a local club and enjoys walking, running and painting.
